
Dimitris Ouzounis was born and bred in Drama (Greece). He studied Photography under the instruction of Ioannis Zempekis (Drama, Greece) in 1993-94. He also attended an Art Photography seminar series by Platon Rivellis and, since then he has been working extensively on photography. Through his camera he attempts to narrate the world by creating an every day diary of images that redefine places, facts and human expression, based on a constant familiarization with himself and the others. He taught Photography at Drama’s Photography Club ―in which he is one of the founding members― until 2015. Today he continues his photographic activity in Athens (Greece) where he lives.
He is teaching Photography, approaching issues such as: Photographic Technique and Education, Digital Imaging, Organization of Visual Learning Experience, Visual Literacy, Gender and Photography, Photography’s Connection to History / Social Studies / Literature / Gender and Image / Other Art Forms etc.
Up to now he has taken part in several photographic exhibitions in Greece as well as abroad (UK, Italy and Turkey) and his photographs have been presented in various publications.
